Description: Solanum aviculare is a fast growing shrub that will readily self seed. It particularly likes bare, disturbed soil. It is therefore an exellent fill-in plant to use after doing earth works or exavations.
The fruit are edible once they turn orange/red and become soft. Before that they are poisonous, they belong to the potato family.
Cultivation: Likes fertile soil and a spot in full sun. It can survive dry conditions for several months.
